Well blog followers I don't have as much to write tonight mainly because I am so extremly tired. Today was a long hard day of moutain snow driving. Randy likes to say "we cheated death once again as we trecked along the mountain pass through the snow covered trails." While it might have not actually been that death defying it was actually really rough. The moutains of Utah have been the worst so far and the weather has cleared for portions of the day but always starts snowing again. However, in watching the weather channel we may have a clearing after getting over the pass from Utah to Wyoming. We'll there are more pictures up today and I'll load a couple fun videos we took. This truly is amazing country!

P.S. Oh and quick note about Oregon - It's illegal to pump your own gas. Not sure why but Shelley, my boss, would love it!

More awesome pictures and videos! The lesson in Snow Chains 201 (Snow Chains 101-Basic Car Application) appeared to be fruitful. Oh, and you KNOW those cows HAVE to be cold.
Idaho, huh? That word always reminds me of a 93 year old man named John Trent that Ken and I would go and visit in the nursing home (Ken actually ended up baptizing him, but that's another story!). Anyway, he used to live in I-Dee-Ho, as he would say. He ran an orchard there. While in the nursing home, on his 90th birthday, he began painting pictures of his orchards in
I-Dee-Ho. His pictures were surprisingly very good. Most of the time, he would paint the sky any shade but blue because he said the sunset in the I-Dee-Ho mountains was always a beautiful display of colors. The sky looks pretty blue from your pictures though; then again, they weren't taken at sunset either.
Also, every time we visited John Trent, he would say,"Learn everything you can because you just might need it before you get through this veil of tears." You guys are certainly learning a lot; but more than that, you are spending time together, making memories, and collecting stories to tell in the years to come- "Remember the time..."
We're praying that the weather channel's forecast for a clearing is accurate while realizing that it really only takes a word from our Lord ("even the winds and the waves obey Him"- snow clouds too!)
You remain in our thoughts and prayers,
Mary Kay and Ken Jones
FYI - It's also illegal to pump your own gas in New Jersey.
Hi Rugged Road Warriors!
Oops, had to work last night so I had some catching up to do today. I think you guys are on the same route we took when we moved to Raleigh from Seattle. Remember we stopped Indy? It is some incredible scenery. Thanks for the video and photos. Thank you God for taking care of Randy, Mindy and their precious cargo! I laughed at your reminder of the fact that real women don't pump gas in Oregon. However they DO drive truck and work those snow chains! Love it, and love you!
